I created Sally the Strawbasaur to celebrate the release of Big Darling by Scheepjes, a soft, gradient chenille yarn that works beautifully for plushies. The gentle colour changes flow naturally as you crochet, which means you can achieve a multi-coloured look without having to switch yarns or weave in extra ends. Because of this gradient effect, you only need two skeins of Big Darling to make Sally, instead of the four separate colours you would normally use. As the larger version of the earlier Little Darling yarn, it has the same cosy texture and ease of use, just in a bigger, more huggable size.
Sally the Strawbasaur is free to download until August 24th. After this date, the pattern will be available for purchase in my Etsy shop. If you’ve been thinking about making your own cuddly strawberry dinosaur, now’s the perfect time to grab the pattern while it’s still free!

After the 25th, or if you want to “buy me a coffee”, you can purchase the pattern on my Etsy by going to this link.
Lots of love, Nook!
